Bowel cancer most commonly starts from a polyp or growth within the inner lining of large bowel and this can be prevented with regular testing. Finding and removing such bowel polyps before they turn into cancer, can effectively prevent bowel cancer from developing. Hence the need for regular bowel cancer screening.
