Direct Access Endoscopy

This allows referring doctors to request a colonoscopy or upper gastrointestinal endoscopy without the necessity for an initial specialist consultation. Our practice manager (0283551891) will contact patients to confirm their suitability. A subsequent appointment will then be made for the patient to have their endoscopy at the hospital of their choice. If undergoing a colonoscopy, you will be sent a bowel preparation instruction by email.
Patients will be admitted to day procedure department of the hospital where they will be seen by Dr Murugesan, following which your procedure will be performed. Results of the endoscopy will be discussed with the patient on the day of procedure, with a report sent to your referring doctor. Involved costs will be advised upon completion of the online booking form. Please review the following eligibility criteria carefully prior to submitting the booking form.
